Have you ever seen a plane trapped in the ice? Now you have. This one dates back to 1952, when a military plane ran out of fuel and crashed in the vast white expanse of Alaska. The image captured at the crash site is striking.
This accident claimed the lives of 52 people, including 41 passengers. The most incredible aspect of this story is that rescuers were unable to reach the crash site due to ice. It wasn’t until 60 years later that the bodies of some of the passengers, soldiers, were recovered.
